The ClockPetals is an interactive visual analytics system for revealing spatio-temporal and sequential patterns from a large dataset of traffic records from.
The system visually analyze the datasets from 2017 IEEE VAST Challenge Mini Challenge 1. An analogy was drawn between the spatial-temporal characteristics of the data and a plant called clock flower with its vines to represent data by months, days, and hours while semantically and aesthetically abstracting the map.
